Hi I am 12 weeks pregnant and got to know in an NT scan that there is a small subchronic bleeding inside my uterus ,even though I didn’t have any bleeding outside yet .My gyno has prescribed me - duphaston 10 mg ,which once I had used to bring my periods so I am worried should I take this medicine or not ? As once it had helped to get my period .what if something happens during pregnnacy too ?

You should not worry about taking the tablet because it is a placental hormone and doctor has advised you so that the bleeding should stop internally and should not profusely believe or the time you experience that you are getting bleeding while urinating also so to stop that it has been given and you should not worry in pregnancy the hormone has a different action it will not cause a miscarriage and small subchorionic bleed usually resolve till second trimester the only thing we should keep an eye on the size of the bleed it should not increase if it increases then the medication dose will be increased
