hi I have a query, I suffered gestational diabetes and polyhydrominious in my pregnancy. now I don't have sugar. what precaution is should take so that I don't suffer any gynic problem in future and I want to avoid diabetes so that I can b3 fit to take care of my baby well. my age is 32 and this was my first pregnency and due to the above problem I went into premature labour ..

Same here . I had gestational diabetes too in my pregnancy. But after delivery there is no trace of it. Keep testing your sugar atleast once a year. Eat healthy and exercise!! Do not stress!!! All the best

Also the food you eat now should be such that you do not get any complications during your next pregnancy. This also effects the health of the baby. Some tips are: Increase the intake of fermented vegetables and include probiotics in your diet. Completely stop the use of sugar, white rice and maida in all forms. Gestational diabetes completely disappears post birth. The high level of amniotic fluid was also caused due to GD. In some situations it does make the woman more prone to developing diabetes later in life. Stay fit and active, maintain an ideal body weight and eat healthy. There is no reason to worry about a remote possibility but being healthy is always a great idea.
