Hi my baby is 8 days old and she sucks very slowly due to which i have to bf her for hours and she gets tired, sleepy and not satiscied as well. I get lot of pain in nipples due to which it becomes difficult for me to feed her. it also leaves me in confusion whether milk supply is less. she has the tendency of sleeping as soon as i bf her. i have to keep waking her but appears as if she sucks slowly. I tried formula milk with bottle and she took that very fast as I think she doesnt have to try hard sucking. Please advise. Also I am becoming very emotional and feels like crying everytime. please advise and help.
i understand the fact that bm is best but yesterday when she was restless in night even after bf her for hours i gave her 30 ml of formula milk and then she slept immediately for 3 hours.

no.. please dont.. other than the fact that you will have some discomfort of waking up and feeding(which you will have to do with formula feed as well) there is no greater benefit than giving bm to your baby.no baby will not sleep continuously at night no matter what you give her. so you can atleast feed her bm and she will have many health benefits from it

should i include formula milk as well once a day specially in night as she becomes very restless as hungry in night and do not sleep

All this is very normal.. don't worry dear... baby is learning to breastfeed, she will get faster with experience. babies also fall asleep while feeding.. they were so relaxed in womb for 9 months, now they are adjusting to so many new things.. it must be so tiring for them also... do not worry about milk supply.. you have enough for your baby...
