my baby is 8 months old and he has started up teething.. he is v cranky and peculiar at times and wanted to bite his finger all the time.. dr has suggested to apply zytee gel over his gums.. bt i have read it is not safe for babies and it has several side effects also.. bt when i apply it he sleeps.. what to do

don't apply anything..
for gums itching they'll do like that only.. once teeth comes out it gets corrected by themselves..
