hi, my son is weighing 6.12 kg as on 8th aug, went to see doc for routine monthly check up as he completed five months today.. overall she was happy with the growth but is insisting on at least 800 gms increase in weight every month. my son is putting on roughly around 500-600 gms per month..wanted to know if he is gaining properly or not..

Don't worry dear, he has gained good weight and as u mentioned ur lo gaining 400-500gm every month it's very good weight.

ideally a healthy child doubles birth weight by 6 mts, which i can see ur child has already done that. infact he is above than double. nothing to worry. he is doing very well
