a nst is done to evaluate babies health and see adequacy of oxygen supply. babies heart rate is measured during rest movement or contraction. its done when there are some complications, ur past due date or if movements less than adequate etc. <br> u just have to lie down fr this test n u will be given a button to press when u feel baby move.&nbsp; dont worry. n let us know how it went. ask ur doc y u need this test n if all is ok afterwards.

NST is non stress test...<br> The doctor observe the heart beat of baby for around 10 minutes to check if it is going normal or fluctuating at different rates... this is done to check if they can wait for more days to pain get induced by its own or they need to induce pain for delivery...<br> n reason for delayed delivery is that not every one conceive on the same day after lmp.. days may differ according to after how days of lmp u conceive... so doctors consider perfect edd to be the date that comes in 1st sonography...
