Dear Priya, Its absolutely ok if ur child is shy and reserved. People usually are of two types Extroverts (outgoing, more social types) a Introverts (Shy and reser types). And there is absolutely nothing wrong in being that way. Each and every child is unique and has his/her own skills and talents unique to him/her. Having said that, you can give opportunities to ur child to interact with others.... being careful not to force as it may be detrimental to him Secondly in school, u can give a heads up to the teacher about his shy nature so that teacher can accordingly involve him.in classroom activities. So that he is not left behind. And he is very young right now. Sometimes kids show marked difference as they start growing older. So don't worry and enjoy motherhood

i guess the best solution is to take ur kid out more ..the more ppl they meet they learn quicker.. its very common thiugh what u r facing..while we live in a working world today, n as child safety is concerned.. i guess talking activities n meeting up more ppl will help u faster..

hi priya, its OK to be shy n reserved . many kids have same personality... and still every child is unique . we should give lot of praises n support and in comparing with others they may lost their confidence ...of being urself . it is also said reserved people are intellectual so don't worry just give him wings to fly ...hope it helps..
