question
Hola Priya Sood and asha chaudhry needed your help here-
I plan to take complete off from my work and projects from June onwards. EED is July 13! I am planning to resume all my projects and get back to clients by Dec 2018 next. Atleast I have to roughly chalk out and tell my clients :)
Do you think this is an ideal expectation or will I need longer? I'll be working from home. My genre is communications and branding. Please suggest.

Yes @616d9066791e5a0013a088c7 in the initial years i personally recommended opting for working from home. You may not like to miss a moment of seeing the child growing up. Telling you from personal experience. I strongly believe that a child needs mom around in initial years. However it depends from case to case and also is a personal choice

Hey Di,
Currently I have to do all the cooking since my Punjabi dadi Doesnt like the maids IN Bengal. But yes I have help for the utilities and dusting etc. No household chores for me, everything is delivered home.; Post delivery, cooking might be the only thing I'll not have a maid for. But my MIL doesn't help at all. Hubby says we will keep a maid for chopping etc. Let's c.; I like the idea of restarting gradually and seeing.; Maybe I'll just freelance and be in touch with the base and pick up pace once baby is in school.; Thats a brilliant idea. And yes I guess mera bhi aa wfh ka stamp permanent Ho gya :)
Thanks @63729b593f31520016a69b80

Hey @616d9066791e5a0013a088c7 brilliant q! I like how u are thinking! What kind of help do u hv at home? If u have a maid & cook plus someone to help with the baby then 6 minths wfh is totally poss (not full time). I wud say start gradually - first 2 hrs, then 4 hrs a day flexi hrs of course. Personally i had decided to take 2 yr break which i did and freelanced from home then. I got back full swing whn my childoo was 4 yrs old but it has always been wfh - still is :) good luck dear! U shall be fine!

@6247946051de3d0014c4c1ce so true. I have seen women who join back work make the ones who left their jobs feel pathetic about their decisions. But i am glad more and more women are accepting motherhood and their choices and feeling proud of it. The other way round also happens no doubt and hence there should be no judgement either way. In my opinion Nothing is wrong with either but a 'first always remains first' and it's a lifetime of a joy. If We can then why not.
