Last few days I saw many posts related to cold cough cheat congestion among kids and elders... Blame it on weather or our bad immunity but we all suffer from this, the moment weather start playing. I am a person who dont like to give medicine to my kid at the very  I first place. I try to do some home remedy and if nothing works then we take him to doctor. So here I am sharing few home remedies which have worked for me and my kid..
For infants or small babies..
* Keep them warm and make them wear fully covered clothes socks caps

* Take little mustard oil and add one garlic clove it in. Warm the oil till you see garlic burning. Let it cool and apply on it kids chest feet back and keep them warm. This helps in cheat congestion.

* Roast little ajwain and tie in a small cloth / hanky and keep it near nostrils/ chest of baby. They smell helps in block nose.

* Take little hing and stitch it in small cloth and thread  shouldn't be big than 1-2 cm. Put it around it child neck and this can stay as long as u want and give bath with this new necklace. Hing smell is cold and even effective in stomach issues.
For toddlers/ elders :
* Take turmeric milk.

* Take pinch salt little haldi and honey. Make paste of it and gulp this paste before sleeping. No water after this. Helps in soar throat. 2-3 times a day

* Make sitopladi and honey paste and have it just before sleeping. 2-3 times a day.

* Grate little ginger and squeeze it. Add honey and turmeric in that ginger juice and make paste. Have 1-2 times a day.

* Yummy and healthy besan sheera - take  a spoonful or two of besan and roast it in ghee.. once u feel it's done u can make out from aroma.. add water / milk you choice and sugar as per taste.. you can make it semi solid or little liquid as u like to eat or drink. Again this you should take just before sleeping and no drinking water after that. This is very effective for cold and cough and healthy too.
