I received a message asking "how do I know I am ready to have a baby". It striked my mind, this could be a dilemma for many women out there
. If I talk about myself, I am married for approx 4 years now and my baby girl is about to turn 8 months old. Me n my husband would talk on how a baby will affect us financially, how we need to manage everything in our pregnancy journey, also how our freedom will be affected if we plan a baby and much more
. Having a baby does change your life completely, but in a positive manner too. You get a blessing of bringing a baby in this world. I also thought we are still young but we have achieved what we wanted to. Age isn't a deciding factor for having a baby. .
For some people , they have goals like buying a home, car, vacation or waiting for a promotion. Some are in a hurry as they are being pressurized by the society. Some just 'know' they are ready.
I knew I was ready when I was always thinking how I will spend my time If I had a baby and I smiled on the mere thought of being pregnant ☺️
.
Babies are an amazing blessing, but also bring with them some sleepless nights, lots n lots of work and also stress
.
♥️ Do not plan because everyone around you is planning . don't wait for others to decide your baby making schedule
.
♥️ It's purely a personal decision : there is always going to be a reason to wait. It's definitely a huge commitment
.
♥️ PHYSICALLY : I went for a preconception visit and took some tests before planning for my baby just to be sure I was physically ready
.
♥️ When you're sure your relationship with your spouse is healthy and your disagreements are productive, because having a child will be a massive transition. It's really about making it work as a family
.
It will never be 'perfect time'. The perfect time is when the thought of it makes you happy and having baby becomes more than your freedom. This picture is from my baby shower when I was 6 months pregnant
