I grew up on this belief. And I still believe that over a period of time eyesight gets affected. Do any of you have any practical experience with this? I keep telling my childoo too, not read in the dark.
(though i do check my phone and answer emails many times in bed, in the dark!)

eyes do get affected by reading in the dark... i have always been a bookworm. during one school vacation, when i was visiting my native place, i spent much of my holiday reading books in poor lights. that holiday season my glasses power took a giant leap. my eye doc. gave me such a big shouting, i will never forget 😟

yes I have heard this. while most of it is genetic, i'm hearing similar things. Recently my kids opthalmologist was asked by Ruhaan 'Mom says watching Too much TV will harm my eyes.' to which the doctor said 'Not at all!' hmph...
