I have done my 19wks anomaly ultrasound. Every thing was found okay except dat my placenta is posterior and low presently. What are the probable risk factors and what care and precautions I can take to have a healthy delivery. Please reply..

Placenta moves up in 99% of the cases, so don't worry. But, precautions are important. Bleeding / spotting should be observed and notified to your doctor. Precautions : no outstation travel, no jerks even in local travel, no heavy weight lifting, no intercourse. Take rest whenever you feel pressure in lower abdomen.

Yes same experience with me too. Placenta in lower segment on 20 weeks scan but it ascended with advancing pregnancy. Dont worry much.

Hey mrinana... Congrats first of all... Don't worry placenta moves up with the progress of pregnancy. I had the same issue.... Placenta a little low in 19th week scan... In the 27th week ultrasound placenta had moved significantly up.... For now just avoid long distance..and jerky travels... As per my gynac's suggestion...that she gave me earlier..
