i have not given pneumococcal - PCV 1 , 2, 3 and 4 vaccine to my kid as it was optimal in the chart now have changed the Dr .and according to new DR PCV 1 needs to be given.
my child is 18 months old and in JAN 16 he has suffered from pneumonia . I am confused should I give this vaccine or no looking for an answer.

As advised by Babychakra Expert - Sonali Shivlani ( Prenatal & Lactation Consultant) The pneumococcal vaccine offers protection against 13 strains and hence if it is being recommended by the doctor please take the same. Your child would have had one strain and can contract the other 12 anytime in the future.
