When the milk flow is very rapid the baby tends to feel a choking sensation. You can express some milk before you feed the baby and yes look at donating the same for other babies who may need it. then latch the baby on. It also helps to feed the baby in an upright position which gives the advantage of gravity and the milk can then move down rather than give a choking sensation. A third suggestion is to feed in a laid back position which means that you are leaning backwards against a pillow and the baby is on you. All the best.

Monisha where do you stay? We have a facility of MomsLine where moms who have excess milk can donate their milk to moms who are in need.
