I'm feeding my baby both BM and FM as I feel like that he is not satiated just with BM but I really want him to completely shift to BM. is it possible to do that though he is almost 1month old now. actually it's my mistake when they gave him to me in hospital on 3rd day I was reluctant to feed due to I/v line and pain. I started feeding him properly only after 10 days

It is possible to shift to breast milk. Feed often and frequently. Use less formula and keep track of the number of times the baby passes urine. It should be minimum seven. Also ensure that you do not use the bottle at any time to feed the baby.

thanks all. actually he don't have schedule. we feed him when ever he cries and show signs of hunger. so I don't understand how to remove formula milk step by step. especially at night he become so desperate that he won't lie on bed without tummy full.

surely you can completely shift to BM... even my daughter wasn't taking BM till 7th day.. for those 7 days she was completely taking from spoon but slowly she shifted completely to BM and even today after 2 months she is breast feeding and even when she is not latching from one breast every time I am feeding that milk with bottle...
