I'm soon to travel with my 8 month old and I have all butterflies in my tummy! I'm worried about her diet. I have kept a pack of cerelac rice handy and have in mind to pick bananas for her. But these won't be enough and I don't prefer repeating the same foods. any suggestions moms on what I can premix and take from here and probably just add boiled water to it and it becomes ready? Are Gerber fruit purees good? I did come across some infant biscuits too in the market but I'm too wary about trying them. Help!!!!

honestly I've been never fed my Kids packaged food. i always carried a little copper (i bought a really handy one from black and decker) and usually asked the hotel to give me rice/ boiled Dal/ steamed vegetables/ fruit from the kitchen which i would then add warm water or milk to and pulse in the blender. Then I've picked scrambled eggs from.the breakfast buffet, an occasional idli or a puri.

hi neha, there are mixes by Early Foods... just add boiled water to it and it is free of any artificial flavours or preservatives... you can also carry fruits. dry nuts powder is a great option.... ot can be added for flavour and nutrition, recipe on my page... you can also make multigrain laddoos - ad roasted ragi, roasted wheat, roasted gram flour, elaichi, nuts powder, jaggery syrup and make laddoos. you can also carry dates.. mango, banana, chikoo, etc.

Hey Neha! Gerber fruit purees may be good but not necessarily safe in the long run. Thumb rule- if it is packed it has preservatives. Fresh fruits are a great option. I used to scoop fruits like apple and pear and mash it into puree with a spoon and give. @63729b593f31520016a69b80 has summed up other options to carry. I even used to carry some puffed rice. Happy journey! :)
