IMPORTANCE OF VARAMAHALAKSHMI FESTIVAL
Varamahalakshmi vratha or varalakshmi nombu is a festival to propitiate the Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu, one of the Hindu Trinity. varamahalakshmi is one who grants boons ("vara"). it is an important Pooja performed by many womens in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, telangana ,Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The Hindu festival going by the name "varamahalakshmi vratha" is celebrated on the 2nd Friday or the Friday before the day of the full moon Poornima- in the month of Shravana, which corresponds to the Georgian month of July August...

varamahalakshmi Pooja is performed by women for the well being of their family members. it is believed the worshipping goddess varamahalakshmi on this day is equalent to worshipping ashta-lakshmi the eight goddesses...❣
