Infants from 0 months - 1-year sleep more, they sleep more but the observation of things around them is more too. At the time when they are awake, we can keep them engaged with a few activities which would help them in developing sensory and motor skills.
Kashyap used to sleep for 18 hours in 6 naps in a day till 6th month. Slowly the sleep time has reduced. Especially at the night, he used to wake up around 2 am I feel too sleepy At that time my parents did a few activities which made him smile and entertained. These activities would help us too when we are busy with works and we can keep them engaged. But always keep an eye and do under elders guidance to avoid choking problems. Find the activities below to make your little one enjoy too.

1. Hang a few colored clothes where your baby spends more time.
2. Windchimes - best for sounds and makes your little one observe the swinging things.
3. Balloon kicking - tie balloons to the knees of our little one and let them enjoy catching them.
4. Choose colorful and sounds(which has beads) socks.
5. DIY colorful wind chime - take around the cardboard, make holes and insert diff colored clothes/ribbon.
6. Sensory bottle - Take an empty transparent bottle, add colorful beads, glimmer, grains, pipe cleaners anything which makes sounds and looks colorful. Seal it with fevikwik and handover to our little one. See the happiness when they see new colors, sounds.
7. Sensory Box - add sound objects in a box and seal it. Handover to the little one.
8. Sensory bag- add rice grains, pulses, food colors and handover to the little one. Let them enjoy the touch feel.
9. Teethers, Gym bed, and rattles help a lot in entertaining little one.
10. Sensory books, sound books helps a lot.
11. Pipe cleaners and a strainer. Help your little one insert the pipes into the strainer.
12. Sensory book- stick different types of clothes in a book.
13. Mega blocks, Stacks, puzzles.
14. Pompomdrop. Make a hole in a card box and help them to insert pom.
15. Transfer things into a bowl.
16. Transfer pulses to a cup.
17. Give them different types of utensils to make sounds.
18. Roll a ball- roll a beach ball & let your little one pick it.
19. Basket trap- fill the baskets with different objects and write the basket with thread or rope. The kid should collect the objects from the basket.
