Ingrained in me is the Kolkata Syndrome (my own coinage); -- knowledge that the city is laid-back and can grow more but refusal to love it more than any other place.
My birthplace, my hometown and my sasural--Kolkata is life to me. And it is a jewel of #EastIndia too.
The City of Joy gives us joy through it's roshogollas, not rasgullas, chats, book shops, churches, temples, British Raj architecture and buildings amid so much more. From Lucknawi biryani to Punjabi tandoori to Swiss pastries and even American burgers--Kolkata is a true cosmopolitan city with a distinct touch.
Yellow taxis, state run buses that are rickety yet form a lifeline for commuters and the Howrah Bridge, there's no end to what defines the city.
I can keep writing about Kolkata for it truly deserves being the queen of #EastIndia .
