as far as my knowledge goes, i was given duphaston tabs coz : 1. i was expecting twins 2: duphaston helps the embryo to get nourishnent. this tab releases some hormone ( m sorry dont know exactly what it is) which help secrete necessary proteins in uterus to nourish the embryo. it helps build ur endometrial lining. susten is a progestrone that is advised if u have previous case of miscarriage. it helps prevent it.

i was too given susten as i had spotting at the start of pregnancy and during my 6 weeks Sonography fetal pole was n't visible for which i was also given hcg 5000. so it all depends on case to case basis. don't take tension and please go to the doctor who clears all your doubts and you are comfortable talking with. as i was so tensed up later i changed my Gynec .
