✨ It's important to know that gagging is a completely normal part of learning how to eat. The reflex protects babies from choking. ✨ Gagging symptoms include opening the mouth and thrusting the tongue forward, sputtering and coughing. Your baby may turn red in the face. ✨ If a baby gags, do not panic or get very anxious. ✨ Sit your baby upright while eating. Never leave your baby unattended/ alone while eating. ✨Avoid high-risk foods, such as whole nuts, grapes, popcorn, blueberries and meat and fish which contains bones. ✨Don’t give too much food at once or force-feed your baby.
