i've got scars.
every time i look at myself,
i can see the kumkum mark from my temple visit in the morning.
it's like a permanent mark on my body.
some things/people/incidents give us scars.
some memories.
and some simply leave marks.
the luna burn, the cycle fall scar, the dog bite, the aarini line, countless stretchmarks, chinese tattoos from my fibroid surgery, grey hair, dark circles - not so much from my kajal.
seen scars. unseen scars. i have them all.
but not all are so pretty as the red smear of my kumkum throat...
