Sue Dohorty describes this as a form of dance and movement whereby the caregiver lifts, holds and cradles their baby while performing an aerobic exercise or dance routine to music of their choice. 💃This form of interactive dance provides a “high-quality, age appropriate, play experience” for your toddler, as well as a form of exercise and;stress relief for the caregiver. 💃It is such a fun and enjoyable way for the parent and the baby to pass some time, dancing also stimulates almost every area of your baby’s brain, encouraging the growth of vital neurotransmitters. 💃You can include dance in your baby’s day from the earliest weeks after birth. Babies will generally love the rhythmic movement of dance – remember, they were rocked and swayed in utero for nine months. The gentle movement of dancing is repeating this soothing stimulation. 💃Dance allows for imitation, repetition, coordination and exploration of movement to the rhythm, mood and feeling of music. 💃Dances and songs provide opportunities for memory training and coordination, even at this early stage! To dance with your baby, all you have to do is turn on that music, find a position that suits baby’s age and comfort, and start bopping around We are currently swaying on the tunes of @vidyavox and really don't care where the other shoe is😁 !!
