m giving fruit and veg purees to my baby asni just started weaning .my query is when ever i make puree i use the remaining water while boiling for bringing consistency in the puree, does adding water ( boiled water in which fruit is steemed) decreases fruit/ vegetable nutrition? i dont add fm or bm into puree as my baby doesn't like milk flavor in puree. please answer and suggest

i go with you @60eb9b9f8c243b0013a37d7a and @616d51179dc2de0015c6e0a8 ... steaming is always the better option... and don't throw away the water, you can use it to make the mash a little thinner consistency. use little water only...

mostly steaming is preferable than boiling. As boiling will remove most of the nutrients of food.

your baby turned 6month? you should not throw the water in which you boil food as that has all nutrients of food...use lil water to boil which should absorb mostly while cooking.....I usually steam...... @6372999217d2c800158d8bec what you do?
