my experience is baby cannot hold it's <u>neck</u> at this age. in this case when we feed them In <u>sleeping</u> position there will be stress in there neck.

if u r sleepy pls dont feed in sleeping position otherwise u can. i also do sometimes. my baby is 25 days old. but i always keep an eye on her while feeding whether i m sitting or lying in bed.<br> lekin burp krane k liye to aapko uthna hi pdega <u>lol</u>

Hi. My doctor advised against sleeping position. I always gave while sitting. Only when baby turned 6 months i started sleeping position. I think sitting is more safe

hi dear, breastfeeding in lying down position will not cause ear infection, but yes, in case of bottle feeding it can happen. bf and bottle work very differently. but the reason we are asked not to breastfeed lying down is because bfing releases hormones in the mother which makes her relaxed and sleepy. that coupled with lack of sleep, the mother can easily fall asleep. since baby is very small,&nbsp; baby will not be able to mive away if the breast suffocates her nose and mouth. also there would be risk of spitting up milk and choking on it, and the sleeping mother would not realize. hence breastfeeding in seated position is the best...
