meri two month baby ka naval bohot bara hain..wo jab roti hain to its look like a ball..doc said ki hernia hain.after 4 yr nehi gaye to surgery Karna parega..plz said ki yeh kya normal hain?

It is more common in boys.  Hernias also appear more often in babies who are born prematurely. This is because their tummy muscles do not have time to finish growing before birth. Most umbilical hernias go away on their own, as your child grows and his muscles become stronger. They do not usually cause a problem. Your doctor will only recommend surgery to repair the hernia if it doesn't go away, or if it is very large.
