Mindful Eating

As you all know that eating has become an obsession for all of us. If we are happy we eat, if we are sad we eat but even if we are not feeling anything else we still eat.
Eating has become like a drug for our brain that it can't stop eating.

The main Question here is that what type of foods we like to eat?

And everyone knows this answer.

Chocolate, Ice-cream, pizza, burger, chips, cola, and soda etc...

All of us can agree to that.
This type of eating behavior when you don't even know what you are eating is called 'MINDLESS EATING'. In this if a person is stressed they will start eating to numb the pain and to get the comfort.

Because when we are stressed our body release a hormone named 'CORTISOL'.
This hormone increase your blood sugar level. How?

Because this hormone is like a signal for your brain 'fight or flight' situation and for both you will need more energy and for energy you will need to eat more calories and these calories will increase glucose production to use it as a fuel and to keep glucose in check more insulin will be needed. So, because of this constant production of insulin to tackle the problem of high glucose your body will not be able to keep up and last result will be diabetes.
Weight gain problem because of needing more energy. To get the energy your body will release more hunger hormones for you to eat more foods for calories and high calories means weight gain.
Also, Digestive problem, weak immunity and heart disease.

So, as you all can see that stress can make us more weak than any other thing.
Also, we start eating in front of television, laptop while watching movies, cartoons, or any other show. This type of eating is called 'BINGE EATING'.
Where we are engross in something then we will not even be aware that our brain is getting the signal of being full.

It is not in our habit to eat fruits and vegetables while watching TV. No, we like to eat pizza , burger, coke,soda etc... Only calories dense foods. Why because it has been our habit our unconscious habit that we people don't even know why we do this? But we only know that we just DO.
So, it is important for us to have conscious knowledge of our surrounding. The food we are eating.
Tips for Mindful eating :-
* Avoid eating anything while stressed.

* Try to do Exercise or meditation during stress.

* Eat when you are 80 % hungry.

* Stop eating when you are 80% full.

* Exercise alot.

* Take small portion size in your plate or even take a small plate in size.

* Don't eat anything while watching TV.

* Spend time with your family and friends.

* Avoid any processed, refined and junk foods.

* Go outside and walk in fresh air.

* Play outdoor and indoor games more.

* Eat more fresh and seasonal vegetables and fuits or frozen and canned can be eaten.

* Look for saturated and tansfats . Avoid them as much as you can.

* Avoid sugars and salted products even it is written Zero sugar.
These things can actually make your life more easy and healthy. So, Please let me know how you feel after doing all this.
