MOM – Sridevi’s 300th movie is a cinematic experience not to miss, moms.
‘Strong and awesome’ is how I would describe this 2.5 hour thriller-packed drama.
The film nests on (1) the reclusive relationship of a teenager with her stepmom, (2) the safety of girls/women in the rape capital/country, (3) how a mom avenges following injustice in the hands of the law – with her scheming strategy (as a biology teacher).
The movie dynamizes when the mom is joined by a dinky-looking detective. Adding to the exhilaration is a tough cop who stays as close as he can to his suspects.
The story is nothing close to fresh, but it’s the vigour and vitality of Sridevi’s character wherein the supremacy of the script lies & the movie erects your skin.
In short, Sridevi & the crew walks every mom in the theatre through a spectrum of strong umbilical emotions that let’s us ponder over her dialog, “What would you choose from wrong & very wrong?”
