Guys today will share my experience (yesterday I had gone through this surgery)

So thought you all must know about this

BARTHOLIN GLAND CYST

👉The bartholin glands are; two small organs under the skin in a woman's genital area,; they are either side of the folds of skin (labia) that surrounds vagina.

👉 The bartholin glands make small amount of fluid, that moistenes the genital area

👉When bartholin ducts get blocked, fluid build up in the glands, and the blocked glands are called bartholin cyst

👉These are small and big also

👉When ducts get infected it's called abscess, these ducts are often small and painless

👉but if you have symptoms, then you will need treatment

👉 Symptoms - If the cyst is small you may not have any symptom, but an infected cyst can cause symptoms

👉Drainage from the cyst

👉Fever, chills

👉Pain that gets worse and makes it hard to walk, sit or move

👉Physical examination needs for this to diagnosed with the cyst

👉Treatment- Some gland cysts are goes away without any treatment

To help for healing is soak the area in shallow warm water bath,

👉If the cyst is infected, it may break open and start to heal on its own after 2-3 days, but if the cyst is painful, doctor will drain it,; and you need to take antibiotics also

👉There is one procedure called MARSUPILIZATION, in which a pouch is created by making over the cyst and stitching the sides together, this allows the cyst to drain.
