FIRST FLIGHT JOURNEY !!

Hailing from a small town, I saw flight only when we waved bye bye from our roof tops during childhood.
I assumed that flight might be very spacious and passengers would have space to lie down.

I understood that all my assumption was wrong when I travelled for the first time to US in Dec, 2014. As soon as I boarded the flight , my thoughts were like --
oh man, this is not even as spacious as train.
How will I eat when they give me food ?
Will I be able to sit continuously for 18 hrs ? (Transit duration was 1 and half hours)
What will I do all these 18 hrs ? (I travelled alone)

Thank god, I fell asleep by the time I reached Abu Dhabi. And hurriedly I boarded the next flight to Dallas.

I don't know how to describe my destiny here. I got seat in the middle row. Inspite of my uncle's suggestion to do a seat reservation online, I neglected it because of my hurry burry in packing luggage.
Guys to my left and right are fat enough and they occupied half of my seat as well. Not an exaggeration, but true :(

Coming out for nature calls was a big task. I covered myself with the blanket and switched on the monitor for every 5 to 10 min to check how soon I will land.

However, my next journey was awesome :)

My first flight journey was a nightmare and I do not want same to happen again.

i think i took my first flight when i was 3 years old in 1975 :)))) it was an international flight and i have motion sickness so not fun at all :( i don't really enjoy flights but in the past 20 years i have been flying around like mad for work and pleasure. we also used to live overseas so we have really taken a lot of flights! my childoo is a veteran too - i took her on her first flight when she was 2 months old :)

Alone, my first flight journey was from Kolkata to Hyderabad. It was horrible cz I didn't knew anything n even my head started aching cz of hunger.. I didn't eat anything in the flight cz I thought it's too costly (without seeing the rate card though) ha ha....; The flight was almost empty bt I didn't had the courage to call the air hostess to call for anything (even didn't knew hw to call them) last bt nt the least it was very sunny morning n I had this corner seat bt to my destiny I didn't try to close the window shade as well (I didn't knew if tat can be done) :-! Which ended up in a horrible headache n after getting down I was jus hating to travel again by any flight for a long time... :-)
