This was my 1st corporate job, can't say it was an exact corporate environment. But more or less kind off a corporate office with the not so corporate approach. I was working for the 108 call centre and it was back in 2008 that I'm talking about. It happens to be my first and also the last call centre job. Ours was the biggest team ever hired with a 48 member group. So we were split into two groups of 24 and 24 for training sessions. On the completion of our training, being the biggest group recruited, we got a chance to meet the CEO in a session.;
We had already hit the floor by then, I mean we started taking calls on the junior level. The meeting was scheduled for 6pm in the evening. We were made to assemble in a huge auditorium right above his office. I wasn't expecting him on time, but there He was bang on time. He was pretty much very composed and yes like you expect a CEO to be. He started talking, before which he took an individual introduction from all;of us. Then he started asking questions, to which two of us answered but before the other guy responded, I was spontaneous. Which the big man appreciated very well, as girl was being so spontaneous and answering so well.;
This earned me a great deal of appreciation and also a gift a wonderful book, the value of which I realised much later and purchased it from an exhibition about 2 years later. Because, I was asked to circulate the book amongst the group after I read, it so I just quickly read it in about 3 days and passed it on. This book made no sense probably in the first read, but when I read it again and again it started to change my perspective towards the way I was seeing life. The book is by this writer Spencer Johnson and the book is "The Present". A beautiful book, written so well and explains so well the importance of living, enjoying the moment.;
I'm learning and teaching my son this very point everyday. I shared this incident and the details of the book, so that each of read and benefit from it... May be some of you might have read it, but I'll urge you to read it again, make notes. Learning to live and enjoy the moment, it makes a lot of difference between living and just living.;
Have fun ladies..keep reading and growing.;;
