My daughter is a very fussy eater. Getting her to taste any new good is a task. She does not eat fruits at all, sometimes if she tastes something she loves it, but most of the times she just does not open her mouth. Also whenever we go out to eat we have to order something non spicy, now that she is 7 years old we want her to eat little spicy at least. We order food with all special instructions and if it's little spicy also she will not touch it. That irritates me a lot as we otherwise spend so much for eating outside. Looking for ways to make her to taste new food and make her have little spicy food. Thank you !!

Hey Priya, this is something that we all have faced... Like Archana said, try one fruit at a time... For example tell her that December is an apple month, so you have to eat an apple everyday, which would make you alert strong... Have a competition with her, to see who finished first... As far as spicy food is considered... Try increasing the about of spices in her did gradually at home.. A sudden change might not go well with her... Ensure that this gradual change shouldn't be noticeable, since it's difficult to play around with a child that old... And this is simply a phase which shall soon pass

I can relate to this. Feeding is one of the toughest challenges. My learning has been to be very gradual and persistant. Keep reinforcing the positives of eating healthy food. Slowly introduce spicey in various forms whatever she likes.

i think it is all in her mind.... make a rule of finishing whats on her plate. we need to turn cruel at such times but so be it... try one thing at a time... and go on for 20-22 days.... like may be 3 fruits for obe phase and nothing else new during that period... i tried this on my daughter... she eats a new vegetable for 3 weeks and i give her spoonful of nutella with the roti along with it
