Mommies and Doctors Plz clear my confusion.

I hv been told tht braxton hicks contractions r tightening of the uterus. they last for few seconds. but wenever i get this feeling m i touch my belly i feel one side getting hard and it feels like baby's head.

So my question here is....M i getting the fake contractions or is it the baby's head?
