Moms and experts, need your advise. It's been a year I have been breastfeeding my twins. Due to which I have high prolactin level (41. 0). My menstruation stopped 2 months post delivery. I was anyway a PCOD case before pregnancy. My gynaecologist says till the time prolactin levels are high, no amount of medicine would help in bringing the menstruation cycle on track. She advised me to take my kids off breastmilk whereas I don't wanna do that so soon. My kids anyway take breastfeed only 3 times a day. Any solution to this? Any other alternative that you would suggest?

Thank you so much. As such there is no medical situation. Only that am gaining weight gradually. Is the weight gain related to this?

Absolutely no inconvenience.
it is normal for menstrual cycle to resume once you stop breast feeding. If there is no medical situation which is bothering you then it's perfectly ok to have a sabbatical from your menstrual cycle. However it is important that you plan contraception since it is possible that you can ovulate and conceive even if you are not menstruating.
