*Monsoon trek through the western Ghats*

🏞️It was our first trek as a family of four. My legs were itching to go out to try some trekking route after my delivery in this monsoon season.; So i planned it out.;
🏞️ *PRABALMACHI* - I read on internet / blogs that its a kids friendly trek.;
So we planned our saturday to wake up early morning to reach base of *Thakurwadi village* , which is; the starting point of the trek.
;🏞️Me , hubby, our 3.5 yrs old Son and our 4 months old daughter .;
🏞️9:30 am reached the thakurwadi village, had lovely chai and instant maggi before the start.
🏞️10 am we started moving uphill. Beautiful picturesque views, with waterfalls transacting the Sahyadris. With kids with us we took multiple breaks . The lovely views keeps us moving in a hope to reach the top soon. Already 2 hrs of trekking and; locals villagers said another 1 hr or so to reach the top.; Uneven terrain, muddy slipery narrow pathways, big small rocky climb, we experienced all, with clouds pouring its rain was making it little more difficult .
🏞️"It was kids friendly trek" i read it online but i didn't notice the age group which says 7yrs and above.
At one point our baby started getting cranky and uneasy and we thought of giving up.
;But then returning back was not easy though, it was 45 mts more to reach the top where there is a village based up and 2hours to reach back to; base point.
We discussed , we motivated each other to 'lets do it' . And again with cranky baby in my hands we moved ahead.;
🏞️Where Aam-janta; took max 1hour to reach the top.;
For us it took 3.5 hours just to reach the prabalmachi village at the top at 1:30 pm.
🏞️But the view was mesmerizing. White clouds everywhere , blowing through our face, amidst the nature. Our hard efforts pays off.;
We had a lovely lunch at a village restaurant. Clicked some memorable pictures and started our downhill trekking at 2:30 pm.
Walking slowly at our own pace with my son enjoying every bit of the nature trails , we reached the base at 5:15 pm.
🏞️The feeling was amazingly accomplished, we literally crossed our boundaries with the kids to make it happen. We hugged each other that with each other's support we were able to manage our trek day.
