my 2.5+ months son doesn't sleep for long hours in day and sleeps well in night only for about 8-9 hours. He takes 15-30 minutes naps 2-3 times during daytime. Is his sleeping pattern normal? He is always in lap in daytime, not cranky and plays some 20-40 minutes 1/2 times a day.

@5f739677c0de03004573b0c6 - sleeping patterns vary in newborn babies. If ur child is sleeping well at night & is gaining weight, then do not worry
@5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 i burp him every time because he used to be too much gassy / colicky before. So someone suggested me too burp every time so that my child doesn't experience any discomfort further.
Is there any pediatrician you could tag to help?

Darshita no need to burp the baby if he is sleeping, if there is no discomfort leave it. Their sleeping pattern keeps changing so don't worry. Check the room temperature, if its too hot or cold he might not sleep.

@5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 he sleeps while feeding in daytime as if he's too sleepy and whenever i make him burp he wakes up. After that he doesn't sleep and is sometimes cranky for some minutes. After an hour of feeding he is sleepy again and sleeps for half an hour till he's again hungry
