my 4 months old baby jerks n moves his head back in my lap while breastfeeding from about a week . He is drinking lesser milk n doesn't want to drink milk. What could be the reason? Earlier he used to demand in every 2 hours. Now he's not drinking much plus he sleeps for 7/10 hours for about 2/3days without asking for feed. He looks hungry but while nursing he keep jerking and doesn't want to take nipple after 2/3 minutes. He is always sucking his thumb. Earlier he was normal

Darshita thumb sucking is self soothing , there is no harm in this but very unlikely for breastfed baby to suck thumb because they usually use breast for comfort, I feel he will reduce it once he is out of nursing strike, try distracting him with toys etc.How to save that cute little thumb from being sucked away to glory?! Check this article.

Hi may be nursing strike, its phase. Lie down and feed the baby, try feeding in silent atmosphere without any distractions, hold his hand, caress his head all this will give assurance that your concentration is on him. You can also hold him keep walking and feed him.
