My 7 yr old daughter will start swimming classes from next month. Any care pre and post swimming prescribed?? Which sunscreen to use and is it really required?? please help

Absolutely as mentioned by Sonali.<br> Avoid sunscreen or any lotion initially if she is new to swimming. It hampers the grip when the coach holds her to correct her strokes making her slippery. <br> There are some swim suits (scuba types) which cover the entire body. Check with the coach for the same. There will still be some amount of tanning. <br> Best Wishes...

No care needed just make sure it's a safe and supervised activity. Sunscreen generally does not help in water and actually contaminates the water. Choose a timing when the sun is not very harsh. Be prepared for the skin to become dark and tanned for a few weeks post completing the class as this is the effect of the chlorine and other chemicals.
