my anamoly scan is showing liquor is more than adequate. what does it mean? is it something to worry about?

it means Amniotic fluid index AFI) is an estimate of the amount of amniotic fluid in the uterus and it is one measure of how well the baby is urinating ( indicator of blood flow to kidneys). The AFI is a score expressed in cm given to the amount of amniotic fluid seen on ultrasound of a pregnant uterus.  Normal AFI is between 8 to 18. Low AFI is cause for concern. High AFI is associated with other problems such as diabetes. The median AFI between 20 and 35 weeks is 14. After 35 weeks the AFI starts declining. Just make sure to deliver the baby before it goes to zero...
