My baby completed 15 th month..nd he loves to eat aate ka halwa...so i feed him aate ka halwa in a regular basis like sometimes i give him it in bf, sometimes in lunch, nd sometimes in dinner, but my mil says that "aate ka halwa bhut garm hota h" so we should'nt give him in regular basis...but he loves to eat it....pls suggest me should i stop to feed him aate ka halwa or should'nt give him in daily basis wt to do pls tell....

Nidhi just that babies develop sweet tooth and looks like your baby already likes it. Just make sure he doesn't get addicted to sugary things like sweets, chocolates etc in future. So no harm in restricting sugar, once in a while is okay.

Hello guys....m giving him others thing also lyk salt sour anything...as i told u in post that i give him aate ka halwa once in a day only....its not lyk that i am giving him halwa whole day.....he taste all the other flavours guys nd varities as well.....

Sorry for a late reply, but anything given on daily basis will restrict your baby from exploring new flavours, you can give various options, oats sweet or vegetable, you can give multi grain daliya, khichadi, dal and veggie thick soup, smoothies for breakfast, veggie cutlet, there are many many options.

Hey it’s absolutely ok to eat aate ka halwa the only concern being the excessive amount of ghee required to prepare it. And this should not be in excess to the daily requirement of ghee. So try for other options like suji kheer, oats meal, porridge , daliya , pulses, cheese etc to give a balanced diet. Start now to develop taste as later on it will be difficult to make him adapted to salty food.
