There is a difference between does not want to sit or cannot sit. If he does not want to sit then it's fine as they do skip certain phases. But if you place him in sitting position and he topples over without support then you should discuss with the doctor.

dont worry my son skipped sitting milestone and started crawling...and he was able to walk ny 11 month...but u try to make him sit using pillow or make him sit on ur lap and hold him with his hands.

sitting is a natural process n no need to worry. if you think it's as a problem then you consult a pediatrician
