My baby is 11 months...he eats very few things that too in a completely mashed form...even if some small granule comes in his bite or if I feed him coarsely grinded food he will vomit it all. He doesn't even want to eat salty stuff ( I put minimal salt). When will he start eating semi solids or solids? What all can I feed him? He doesn't even want to drink water..I tried with all the means. Nor likes soups or juices.

It's normal for some babies to take a little longer to accept solids. Keep trying You may want to offer some small soft pieces of food items like roti, idli, boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, chilla etc and see if baby slowly develops an interest in self feeding as well as solids. Don't worry about salt as we anyways recommend no salt till one year of age.

Hi Varsha...baby is developing his taste...so wait for a while he is just 11 months.
he must be getting tooth...so must be finding it difficult to chew.
give him mashed potatoes in small quantity with added salt sugar n a pinch of lime
u can give him daliya or soft dal rice...then eventually over a few months give him mashed chapati mixed in milk
regarding water...does he drink boiled water which is room temperature? if so, try giving lukewarm water with spoon
