My baby is 14 months now and Ive tried to stop breastfeeding her because my gynea had advice me to stop but these few weeks shes been cryin for breastfeed in the night which i tend to give her but the problem here is dat my breast doesn't produce milk anymore... So is it good for a baby to suck nipple in the night even if it doesnt produce milk too. ? Im asking this because some people say if the child continues sucking the nipples without milk then tend to have gas problem... So please tell me if that is true or not...

Hey dear, just avoid giving nipple as u r under medication n doc suggested you to not breastfeed. Try and make her sleep with her daddy, when she gets up. Instead of giving nipple try and make her sleep by rocking or singing. I know it could be tiring but after a time she will get used to it. Feed her right before 1 hour of bed or give milk so she will be full and won't get up at night. Hope it helps

Hi nothing like that, by now your breastmilk would have been established so the supply will be there. By pressing or pumping you will not be able to judge your supply. Babies sucking is completely different. Is there any reason your gynecologist asked you to stop breastfeeding? Because night feed is very important. In case if its must to stop breastfeeding then wean slowly and gently, ask for other's help.
