I will advise here is not stop direct breastfeeding but make it short you can breastfeed very often like if you were breastfeeding every hour then you will have to breastfeed every half an hour let your child just like for 5 to 10 minutes and it is why because your pediatrician would have told you is that baby's nose gets blocked so what you can do is use nasoclear saline solution put two drops four to five times a day in the block no still it will have to clear out nose then you can breastfeed so you have to be vigilant and feed in slow and short intervals so that to prevent joking all baby gets uncomfortable because of coughing @616db5eb791e5a0013a0c134

Not sure actually depends upon the intensity of cough. if there is very high cough and we are feeding directly then the baby might not be able to feed properly or while coughing it might get into the wind pipe ..so temporarily he might have told not to directly feed .. after the baby is better you can feed directly ..
I have anyways tagged an expert for the answer ..you can wait for the response . Also ask your doctor the exact reason for the same .

I don't think so...Breastfeed helps in healing fast... There must be some reason behind this recommendation... Because for cough breastfeed is not stopped.
