My baby is 4 months 10 days old .he is doing a lot of vomitting after every feed (mostly breastfeed baby very less formula feed) doctor suggested to start his solid after 4.5 months and start with daal ka pani.i m worried as I was not interested in solids until 6 months.doctor says he has reflux..I hope solid will help the baby from vomiting and give the baby some kind of relaxation.

Refluxing through nose is a clear indication of being overfed.
Has ur doctor ever prescribed any medication for refluxing?
Do you massage the baby?
What about swaddling? I used to half swaddle govind tightly after a feed and hold him tightly to keep him still at least for 20 minutes post feed. In that state he used to go into a nap without a reflux and if i fail to do so he'd spit out. When he started rolling over spit outs increased and it became physically more challenging to control. Try to break water on the baby's tummy twice a day.
@6170259aade2a9001326c96a yes once he had refluxed through nose .I also wants to breastfeed him till the time I m on maternity leave later I will start solids but his vomiting is getting worse day by day .nothing is working bibs hankeys..changing his clothes n number of times..no feed is without vomit whereas he is in upright position..another thing if I latch him for 5 minutes hardly to give him a burp and he is hungry n cryinh still he vomits..that makes me think he is not overfed.

Dear, about starting solids.... i would suggest that u can go with breastfeeding upto 6 months. You don't need to start solids if ur breast milk supply is good and baby is being fed and peeing 7 to 8 times in a day. Just keep a check on monthly weight gain. It should b atleast 500 gms per month. With a good weight gain.... u continue breastfeed. Nothing to worry for refluxes. It ll settle diwn on its own. The refluxes won't hurt the baby at all; even if he refluxes through nose for once; as it is breast milk
Btw, Has ur baby ever refluxed through nose?
