baby could be crying for various reasons, not only hunger. pls burp baby after every feed and give tummy time - keep him on your tummy or chest.

Heya darling ,
Relax we have all gone through these changes ... I had excruciating pain in my initial days of breast feeding ...
Try to check YouTube videos for proper latching techniques.. Secondly baby is 3 weeks so start giving tummy time ... but always under supervision ... Cycling exercise of leg would help relieve gas ... or try hing paste around navel , swaddling the baby ... this may relieve gas in baby...
Give baby time to adjust to this wonderworld ..; baby is too small ..
Apply your own bm on nipples and let it dry ... also I used soothing butter and massage breast ....; If it's too sore hand express and feed till then soreness would go away ....
By no means leave breastfeeding it will take time to adjust once done you will enjoy the breastfeeding sessions .. Take care

Pooja, sweetheart,i hear you..first of all, seems like the latch is not proper, the entire aerola ( brown portion around nipples) should be in babys mouth while feeding, baby wont be able to take on its own,for sometime, you will have to put it in his mouth and keep holding it there..secondly,apply some home made ghee or buy a nip butter for cracked nipples!
Now,coming back to crying, babies at this age cries for a lot of reason not just hunger. If her pee count us 6-7 times in 24 hrs,she is getting enough. Babys comfort nurse a lot at this age coz its difficult for them to survive out of mommas womb. It might be gas,try heeng paste on navel, make her do exercises like cycling motion and pavanmuktasan. Set some time for tummy massage in clockwise direction. Give some tummy time and give a warm bath, kids enjoi that. Rock her, bounce gently, try swaddling, sing to the baby, and if nothing works, feeding does!
Initial few weeks are tough, try to sleep when baby sleeps. Hang in there momma,u r doing a wonderful job,for now, your babys world revolves around you,it wont be long when he/she wouldnt be so interested in you rather the world around! So cheers and Relax, embrace the change!
