My baby sleeps a lot during day after malish...( Like from 11 am to 5pm continuously) ... So is it ok to let her sleep n feed her when she demands or i need to follow "after two hour feeding pattern" ... As just now i read @Sonali Shivlani reply on rebecca's question where she said follow demand feeding after baby turns 15days old.... 😟😟😟😟.... Can anybody plz clear my confusion ????

Hey dear..Initially for one month feed every 2-3hrs like asha di said..Look for symptoms like finger sucking and crying to know if baby is hungry.

sneha - in the first month you really need to wake baby up every 2 hours (maybe every 3 hours at night so you both can sleep). sonali's article clearly says 10-12 feeds in a day.

I guess, a lot of it depends upon which %ile your baby falls into, mine is in the least percentile,so my paed has always asked me to wake up the baby every 2.5 to 3 hrs and feed. This is to ensure baby is getting enuf for the initial growth. Check with your doc once as he/she is looking into your babys growth trend, they can advise better.

Hey please follow demand feeding. I checked wd my paed about this once. Even she said let her sleep, feed wen she wakes up on her own.
