Part 1 - My Pregnancy Diet Essentials

I only got to know about my pregnancy in my 7th week and from then onwards I was very careful about what I ate. Inspite of having a hectic schedule at work, I tried my best to follow a balanced and healthy diet.

MY ESSENTIALS:
Below are the ones I used to try and have regularly.
- An egg
- Tender Coconut water
- Mixed vegetable & fruit juice in the morning (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot, Amal’s) were a constant and used to add others like Cucumber, Spinach occasionally.
- Lots of fruits. I used to have bowl with a variety of fruits as an evening snack daily.
- Assorted nuts. I had a box with them while travelling.
- 3 glasses of milk with the powder recommended by my gynac.
- Lots of water to keep myself well hydrated.
- Greens. I used to try and have one type of green vegetable daily. Either as a curry, paratha or soup
- I preferred having South Indian varieties of dosas, idlis, Upma while travelling instead of the available junk food.
- Bowl of sprouted pulses couple of times over the week

Try and eat small frequent homemade meals whenever possible. Carry separate boxes of snacks for yourself at your workplace. And most importantly stay happy! 🤗
