Hey darling
Apply your own breastmilk on your nipples.; Initially; I had excruciating; pain .. gradually with every feed it decreased.;;;;;; Don't give up.;; Check on you tube for better latching techniques plus breastfeeding positions..; it will come handy to you

Hi @616d8eb8b986a1001396e960 , this is a common problem all of us face when we start with breastfeeding.. ur lo might be having latching trouble, ensure that she is latching well, and not just Taking your nipple in her mouth, but as much areola portion as possible.. if she will take only nipple, it would pain for sure. To ensure a deep latch, tickle the baby on the chin, when she opens her mouth, insert your nipple in her mouth, and ensure that she has latched well. Also, do not bend towards the baby while feeding, otherwise you will end up with back pain. The baby should turn towards you, and not the other way.. to heal cracked nipples, you can apply some breast milk over them n let them air dry.. or if the problem is worse, you can consult with your gyn n apply nipple ointment like nipcare or something similar... If the problem persists, see a lactation consultant.. as your baby grows and learns to latch well, this problem would subside on it's own, don't worry!!
