best for baby Is breast milk. if u are facing latching issues I suggest u see a lactation consultant asap. there could be&nbsp; a Tongue or lip tie issue too, therefore it's always better to get checked.<br> also u can express and feed is latching issues still persists. however for any reason if u are unable to breast feed, formula would be your next option. reason being all baby milk powders are fortified formula which contains required amount of iron, nutrients and micro nutrients specially doctored to the needs of babies in specific age group. some kids however are allergic to formula milk. in that case u will have to do an indepth discussion with your pead about which formula to use or not to use. but let's hope it doesn't come to that. cow milk should ideally be started after 1 year and quantity should not exceed 400-500 ml a day. else it hampers iron absorbtion in the <u>body</u>
